CITY CENTRE ONLY 20 MINUTES WALK:
Larkhall truly is one of the most delightful areas of Bath. The area has a bohemian atmosphere with local shops and places to eat and drink on the doorstep and it is still within very easy reach of the city centre. You can visit the Roman Baths, The Thermae Bath Spa, The Assembly Rooms, The Pump Room, The Jane Austen Museum all within easy reach. Access to the beautiful West Country is also simple as you are only 10 minutes from the M4. Bath is a very good location for exploring further afield, if you are touring the UK. Bristol Airport is only 45 minutes away and there are regular airport buses. Stonehenge is 45 minutes away and the beautiful Jurrassic Dorset Coast is only about an hours drive. So day trips are easy from this central location.
Unique to the area there is a first class, award winning butchers, selling locally reared meat. The sausages are amazing and they sell fresh fish on Fridays. There is a fabulous Deli 'Goodies', which has been running here for more than 25 years, a small Cooperative supermarket, two pubs: one is a traditional no frills pub and the other a newly established Gastro Pub The Rose and Crown, with a fabulous pub food menu. They do a Friday night special which is great value. and also we have 2 cafes. The Village Cafe, which is open most days for breakfasts, coffees, lunches and gorgeous homemade cakes is so close as you can see it from the house! Maya The Little Bee Cafe on London Road is great. There is also a great selection of takeaways. A Gourmet burger bar called Bear Grills which does great burgers including vegetarian and alternative meats. Thali Indian restaurant, which is a lovely family run contemporary Indian which allows you to bring your own booze and also does takeaways, plus a good Chinese takeaway. The Rose and Crown, Larkhall is an excellent Gastropub serving lunch and dinner. If you fancy a truly traditional English Pub with no frills The Larkhall Inn is great, is just over the road, super friendly and serves an excellent "pint". It also has a large beer garden where all are welcome Great for a cold beer on a sunny day. They show all the sports and all have a pool table. Just a short energetic walk up to Camden Road will bring you to The Clarendon Pub and Pizzeria, serving stone baked pizzas, craft beers and a good range of gins. Great on a sunny day as they also have a garden. All this literally on the door step. Additionally, there is a fabulous 'plant based eating' restaurant just a few minutes walk from the house, called Nourish. There is The Beaufort Bookstore, which is a wonderful bookshop that hosts events and is great for children and 'Crockadoodledoo' pottery painting workshop where you can paint your own pottery, get it fired and take it home as a souvenir, if you're staying for a few days. They will also post your items. The walking route into Bath is peppered with cafes and interesting shops. For more extensive dining It's only a 20/25 minute level walk into Bath from the house, or alternatively a bus or taxi will get you there in well under 10 minutes. There's a bus stop directly opposite the house. Buses run regularly and you can now buy a group day ticket which makes hopping on and off buses to get around the city very good value. Larkhall is a thriving community on the eastern side of Bath, which offers a welcome change of pace from the city centre. People always want to come back. The truly exceptional Royal Victoria Park is also well worth a visit. You can walk through Botanical Gardens, play a game of Tennis at Excel, have fun at the Victoria Falls Crazy Golf or simply let the children pla on the some of the most excellent play equipment in the south of England. There is also a great Skate Park. for the teenagers (or Adults!) Guests feedback is always 5 star.. People want to come back. delightful place to spend time. Nearer to the house is Alice Park with Tennis Courts, grassy areas for picnics and some play equipment for the children.
GREAT FOR GROUPS:
The house itself is great for smaller Hen Weekends for up to 8 ladies, family gatherings, short midweek stays and special celebrations.
THREE BEDROOMS AND TWO BATHROOMS:

We have an open plan living/kitchen//dining area fully furnished with sofas and dining table to seat a maximum of 8 guests, with 40 Inch flat screen wall mounted smart tv, a DVD player and digital channels, plus a CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering including fridge freezer, single oven and ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and half sized dishwasher. Plenty of crockery, glasses and and pans. Upstairs you will find 3 lovely bedrooms, spread over two floors. There is an ensuite shower room to the master king size bedroom and an additional family bathroom with full bath and shower over. On the top floor there are two further bedrooms. Bedroom 2 is a twin room with end to end facing single beds and bedroom 3 is flexible, as the beds are zip and link and can be set up as a large super king bed or split into 2 singles to suit your needs. There is also a single sofa bed in this room making it a potential triple room. There is an additional comfortable single sofa bed, downstairs in the living to room, to accommodate an 8th guest if needed. This is recommended for shorter stays.
We believe in giving personal service, so there is no remote key system. We can always be there for business travellers outside normal check in times and can offer self check out. You have access to the whole house, garden and garage. However, please ensure that you book for the correct number of guests as we do not allow sleeping on the sofas for extra guests who are not included in the booking. Only the beds you have requested will be made up.
